BIO-IDENTICAL HORMONE REPLACEMENT THERAPY
Bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) is the use of safe hormones that mimic the natural hormones the body produces.
Testosterone and Estrogen are replaced in the form of implanted pellets. Progesterone is replaced with a pill. A thorough panel of labs is drawn and then the results are reviewed with the patient. The labs identify any hormone and/or vitamin deficiencies. The pelleting procedure is performed under local anesthesia in the office and takes approximately 15 minutes.
Some symptoms of hormone imbalance are fatigue, low sex drive, weight gain in the hips and abdomen, vaginal dryness, hot flashes, night sweats, anxiety, depression, moodiness and problems with memory or focus.
